HAMPTON GUITAR SCHOOL
Where it all started...
My name is Sam Hunt, and I'm a professional guitarist and tutor. I founded Hampton Guitar School early 2026. I'm Based in the corner of Hampton Vale, Peterborough, and I teach individual and group lessons from a dedicated music learning space in my own home.
What do I teach?
Acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and ukulele.
Together we develop skills for your chosen instrument and work our way towards and through each of the 8 grades. Generally, I teach popular music styles, and focus on the Rock School grading syllabus. This includes pop, rock, jazz, funk, blues, jazz, and soul. I can also teach classical guitar, and we can work towards ABRSM grades in that instance.

Why Choose
H.G.S?
While school-based lessons are convenient, they often come with hidden drawbacks. Between travel time, tuning, and classroom transitions, a 20-minute slot can quickly shrink to just 10 minutes of actual playing. At H.G.S. my after-school private lessons ensure 100% of the time is focused on the music. No distractions, no missed academic classes—just dedicated, high-quality instruction in an environment built for progress. Lesson notes are sent out weekly to keep parents in the loop on what's been covered and needs practising.
Hampton Guitar School is Unique!
At H.G.S, every lesson has a clear purpose. As a professional guitarist, I cut through the noise to focus on what truly matters, ensuring students build a solid foundation without the filler.

I integrate technology to enhance the experience, not just for the sake of it. We'll use backing tracks to create a real musical environment from day one, use tablet-based rhythm exercises for precision, and record performances to MP3. This allows students to actually hear their progress and celebrate how far they’ve come.
